Welcome Sam, our newest Paid Social Executive, to the team.
We sat down with the chatty football fan who shared his star-studded dinner party lineup and love for a particular American sitcom.

The Work Stuff 📈
Tell us about your background. What led you to DMT?
I graduated with a Masters in Digital Marketing during the dreaded COVID year. Since then, I have worked as part of the paid media team at a high-street fashion retailer. In my previous role, I worked closely with our paid marketing agency, where I developed an interest in paid social and decided I wanted to switch from client to agency.
What is something unique that you think you bring to the role?
My previous role has given me an understanding of how a retailer with large budgets utilises paid marketing channels to retain customers and also attract new ones. From this role, I learned how clients and agencies collaborate to achieve great results.
What’s something you want your colleagues to know about you?
I can be a bit quiet to begin with, but I’m very approachable and love to chat about any random subject. Once you get to know me, I’m very talkative!

What three words would your friends use to describe you?
Easy-going, reliable, and confident.
What’s your favourite cultural moment from the past year and why?
Liverpool 7-0 Manchester United ❤️ And of course, the Kevin James meme.
What’s your hobby or passion project outside of work?
Definitely football. I destroyed my knee from nearly 20 years of playing every week, so I’m sticking to being a supporter now.
What’s your guilty pleasure?
I’m a big fan of Friends; definitely my comfort show ☕
What causes are you supportive of, and why?
Macmillan Cancer Support.

Give us your best Manchester bar recommendation.
I don’t go out in Manchester very often; however, I’ve always liked Albert Schloss whenever I’ve been!
If you were a social media platform, which one would you be and why?
Probably Twitter/X; I love the constant football debates and reading people arguing over the most ridiculous of subjects.
Who would be your five dream dinner party guests, dead or alive?
Jurgen Klopp, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kanye West, Margot Robbie, and Alex Turner.
