Jumping off from a huge few months at dmt, adding more clients and services to our already impressive resumé – our little digital marketing team in Manchester has also expanded. Here is the latest Employee Spotlight with India – our newest designer.
Tell us about your role at DMT.
I’m Junior Graphic Designer which involves designing various campaigns and ensuring the designs meet the brand guidelines for each client.
What attracted you to the company?
I was very intrigued by the working environment, as it sounded different from a normal office.
Tell us something special you think you bring to the role.
As a recent graduate in their first permanent graphic design role I think I will bring a lot of enthusiasm, as well as a new visual aesthetic and creative flare.
What kind of challenges do you face in your role as a designer?
At the moment it has been challenging getting to know the different systems and processes used in creating campaigns.
What has been the highlight of your experience so far?
My highlight so far has definitely been the achievement of seeing campaigns that I have designed live on social media.
If you were a social media platform, what would you be and why?
I think I would be Pinterest because I’m more of a visual/action based person. Also Pinterest is all about interests which I have lots of!
Where do you think the best cup of coffee in Northern Quarter is from?
I do like coffee but I am much more of a tea drinker. My favourite tea was the Vegan Fog from Nexus Art Cafe, but sadly they had to close due to the current COVID-19 crisis, as they’re a not-for-profit organisation.
What advice would you give to other designers out there?
Collection inspirations, have on-going side projects, and always step out of your comfort zone.
