It’s official, guys. We’ve got so many employees that we now have to differentiate between people’s names! We’re so excited to welcome our fourth graphic designer and second Aimee to the team. If she’s anything like our other Aimee, we’re in for some proper trouble. Read all about her in our interview below!
The Work Stuff 📈
Tell us about your role at DMT.
I’m a junior designer at DMT. I mainly deal with the graphic design for paid social campaigns and PPC, working mostly with online fashion brands but also many of our other brands, too.
What attracted you to the company?
As a creative, DMT attracted me as I was keen to learn more about how design works within the marketing world. DMT has a young, powerful team of professionals that are growing and shaping the industry, and that is really incredible to me.
Tell us something special you think you bring to the role.
For as long as I can remember I have had a creative mindset, not only as a graphic designer but as a creative in general. I believe that conceptual thinking is something important to apply to my work, and I believe that I do that quite well!
What has been the highlight of your experience so far?
Probably meeting everyone on the team. They have a lovely dynamic with a lot of different personalities which makes working always a lot of fun.
What kind of challenges do you face in your role?
I’m currently learning a new job role from home which is difficult in itself, but on top of this, I have joined in what seems to be the busiest time of the year – Q4 and the run-up to Black Friday/Cyber Monday. Although this is challenging, it’s also helping me learn to work well under pressure, which will be very helpful in a fast-paced industry like this.
If you were a social media platform, what would you be and why?
Definitely twitter. I can be quite political but I can provide the lols too.
Where do you think the best cup of coffee in Northern Quarter is from?
Just between Friends for sure!
What advice would you give to other Graphic Designers out there?
Keep your mind active with creative things and stay inspired.
Thanks so much for chatting to us, Aimee!
