The Client

With over 50 years’ experience in selling and letting property, Frank Wyles & Co Estate Agents has helped thousands of people buy and rent in the Lytham St Annes area.

Frank Wyles is well-established and recognised within the local area, with generations of customers returning to the estate agents’ again and again.

Initially operating out of a single office in St Annes, the team opened a second branch in Lytham only recently.

The Challenge

Although Frank Wyles & Co is well recognised within the local area and held a vast client base, this success had not been translated onto social media when we began working together. With a fantastic website and attractive branding, we immediately saw the online potential and were eager to get started.

Like many estate agents, the Frank Wyles team cited lack of time as the biggest struggle they found with social media. Tim Wyles knew that they needed to use social media, but lacked the time and expertise needed to make it work. His initial goal was to reach 500 likes to prove to his father that social media was right for them.

Our Solution

Our first move was to take that attractive branding from the website and apply it to the Facebook page, which had been left behind following a rebrand. We knew we had to make the page look the part before moving on to growing the page.

With a quick overhaul, the page was soon looking eye-catching. We used the red logo as the profile picture, and an interior shot of the office as the cover image. We also added a ‘Call Now’ button and service tab matching the client’s branding.

The next step was content. The page was currently being updated solely with new properties – we knew this subject matter had to change. We began posting a variety of engaging content – local stories, industry news and property advice – helping give people a valuable resource to help on their property journey.

To grow the audience we used targeted page like campaigns to reach local homeowners. We also ran a number of seasonal competitions to help boost page growth along the way. These ran with great success, and were met with fantastic feedback from the local community.

When the team opened their Lytham branch, we gave the launch a big push and helped promote the move. This helped bring in huge engagement, and grew the audience even more. 

As we move into the next few months we will be looking to switch our focus from page growth to property valuations, helping the team start the new year on a high.

The Results

The Frank Wyles & Co Facebook page now looks eye-catching and recognisable, and offers a valuable resource for local homeowners. With a mix of property posts and engaging content, the page is regularly updated and gives the company a friendly, approachable virtual shop-front.

  • Built an audience of local homeowners, with 90% of the page followers living in Lytham St Annes and the surrounding area.
