Eddison Wells is a Cheshire-based mortgage broker who offer a range of mortgage and protection services.
With a wealth of knowledge, Eddison Wells is ideally placed to provide a comprehensive range of financial products. Providing the highest quality service at the most affordable price is a prerequisite and a firm ethos, and something the client prides themselves on.
As a new company, Eddison Wells wished to take their brand onto social media in order to reach a wider audience and offer great customer service.
Before we began working together, they didn’t have any social presence, but knew that this could be a valuable marketing channel for them.
Initially, the client wished to create a presence on social media, grow their following and begin to attract new business.
We began by creating a Facebook page. Eddison Wells have a great brand image, so it translated well to social media. We used the company logo as the profile image and a sophisticated black image as the cover photo. We listed their three key services under the service tab, and began to post informative, industry-related content.
With a professional-looking page set up, it was time to focus on the audience. Initially we grew the followers by word of mouth and page like campaigns, but it was soon our unique content that started to attract attention.
As an online broker, we thought it would be interesting to make the most of this factor. We decided to use a ‘Click to Message’ advert, encouraging Facebook users to get in touch with their mortgage questions. This worked extremely well, and the client ended up completing a mortgage with a deaf customer, solely using Facebook Messenger.
Eddison Wells have a number of USPs, so we wanted to focus on these in the content and then boost these posts to the correct audiences. They offer free mortgage advice for all NHS, Police, Fire Service & Armed Forces, so we knew this was a brilliant hook for a piece of content. We created an attractive image and posted it alongside the full details of the offer. This piece of content alone saw a great spike in both engagement and page likes.
Once we had a modest following on Facebook, we started to bring in personal content about the two brokers. Taking on a mortgage broker is a big decision, and many people want to see just who exactly they are dealing with. We decided to create ‘Matthew Poole’s Mortgage Tips’ and ‘Dave’s Jokes’, helping give personality and humour to the page. We also took this theme across to a television advert we were to run for the client.
We also ran lead generation adverts to attract new business, using split-testing to find the best-performing adverts.
Today, the Eddison Wells page serves as an informative hub for people looking for mortgage and insurance products and advice. Page likes and engagement levels are now organically growing, and our continued advertising helps bring in new business. After just a few months, here are our results:
- Page likes have risen by 179100%, with organic likes rising by the week.
- Eddison Wells receive direct messages daily, with Facebook users enquiring about their products and services.
- We have generated over 100 leads via Facebook advertising, resulting in mortgage and insurance completions.
